Tonight will usher in mostly cloudy skies and a low around 50 degrees. The northwest wind may be gusty, reaching speeds up to 25 mph. Moving on to tomorrow, the forecast foresees a mostly cloudy morning shifting to clearer skies later, with temperatures climbing to a high near 68 degrees. The northwest wind continues to assert its presence, blowing at a steady 10 to 15 mph, with, gusts that may rise as high as 25 mph.
In a statement obtained from the NWS in New Orleans, Tuesday is predicted to be sunny with a high near 73 degrees following a calm morning. The calm conditions are expected to return in the evening as the south wind, blowing around 5 mph, becomes tranquil. This serene weather pattern will persist into Wednesday, with sun-drenched skies and a high near 75 degrees. A gentle southeast wind in the morning will shift southward, reaching speeds of 5 to 10 mph.
The remainder of the week alternates between partial cloud cover and clear skies with temperatures generally holding steadily in the low to mid-70s. Thursday night, however, may see increased cloudiness with a low around 63 degrees and a persistent south wind around 5 mph. By Friday, temperatures are expected to peak near a comfortable 79 degrees, while Friday night might bring a change in pace with possible showers and thunderstorms and a low round 67 degrees. The likelihood of rain carries into Saturday with showers and thunderstorms forecasted to be likely amidst mostly cloudy conditions, and a high near 77 degrees.
