The Missouri Department of Transportation Kansas City (MoDOT KC) is inviting the public to an open house meeting regarding proposed intersection improvements at Missouri Route D and U.S. Route 69 in Lawson. As traffic congestion builds up, particularly during rush hours, there's a clear need to address the flow of vehicles through this growing traffic hub.
According to the MoDOT KC, the conversation over how best to revamp this intersection is set to take place today, between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm at the Lawson City Hall, which is situated at 103 S Pennsylvania Ave, Lawson, MO. This drop-in format session will allow residents to raise questions, delve into details about the project's scope, and submit their feedback directly to the planning team. In a setup that shuns the traditional presentation, attendees are encouraged to engage with project representatives and displays at their own pace.
For those who can't attend in person or prefer to digest information digitally, MoDOT KC extends the dialogue to the virtual realm. Starting from the same hour the physical meeting kicks off, the department's project webpage will showcase various displays and exhibits. The online forum, which opens concurrently with the in-person event, will stay accessible for comments until 4 pm on Thursday, April 10. If you're interested in joining the conversation online, click here to be redirected to the project page.
