The Butler County Coroner's Office has identified 31-year-old Kevin Augustus Condo of Brookville as the motorcyclist who was killed in a tragic accident last Friday night. The collision took place near the intersection of Millville Oxford Road and Reily Millville Road in Hanover Township. Condo's life was swiftly ended following a sequence of tragic events after he lost control of his 2003 Suzuki motorcycle.
According to the FOX19 report, Sheriff Richard K. Jones stated that deputies were promptly called to the scene around 10:56 p.m. upon receiving the report of a crash. It was determined that the motorcycle was heading north on Millville Oxford Road when it veered across the southbound lane and careened off the road, colliding with a guardrail. Condo was subsequently ejected from the motorcycle and, in a cruel twist of fate, slid into the path of a truck moving eastbound on Reily Millville Road. After the initial impact, a blue Honda collided with the motorcycle and fled the scene before the arrival of law enforcement officials.
The severity of the incident prompted the call for AirCare, but Condo succumbed to his injuries before he could be airlifted to a hospital. As reported by WLWT, the Butler County Sheriff's office is investigating speed and alcohol as possible contributing factors in the crash. The absence of the Honda driver who fled remains a key part of the investigation, and authorities seek information from anyone who can assist.
Witnesses with any knowledge about the crash are strongly encouraged to come forward and are asked to contact the Butler County Sheriff’s Office. Sergeant Steven Poff can be reached at 513-785-1218, as mentioned in the coverage provided by WHIO. The community mourns the loss of Condo, whose life was not able to be saved on that fateful evening, leaving questions that only a thorough investigation can hope to answer.
