
Early this morning, a concerning incident occurred involving a Fayette County Public Schools bus and a private vehicle on Highway 64. As reported by Action News 5, the school bus, bound for Fayette-Ware Comprehensive High School, had ten students aboard and an eleventh preparing to board when it was hit by a car.
Fortunately, it appears that none of the students aboard the school bus sustained injuries, however, the accident could lead to delays in the transportation schedule for the school district, some buses may run late due to the accident, as WREG has noted in their coverage of the incident.
An SUV was trapped under the school bus, highlighting the severity of the crash, according to FOX13 Memphis. The school district issued a statement clearing the bus driver of fault.
