Erick Harris, R-Edmond, the newly approved legislation, known as House Bill 2622, categorizes the repeated use of a property for drug distribution, prostitution, human trafficking, and sex trafficking as a public nuisance.
According to the Oklahoma House of Representatives, this bill is Harris's attempt at giving law enforcement an additional tool to maintain public safety. Having passed with a unanimous vote of 88-0, the bill is being championed for its potential impact on community well-being.
