
A Saturday blaze at a residence along Geneva Avenue necessitated aggressive action from the San Francisco Fire Department and led to the hospitalization of one individual. In their social media update, the SF Fire Department Media alerted the public to a "working fire" at 1101 Geneva Ave at approximately 5:25 p.m., cautioning residents to avoid the area as crews managed the situation.

According to SF Fire Department Media, firefighters battled to extinguish the flames as the fire took hold in the building's rear and pressed forward. Into the evening, emergency vehicles were stationed on the westbound stretch of Geneva Avenue between Madrid and Naples, complicating traffic and urging detours.
Despite the prompt containment of the fire by the responding units, at least one person was severely affected enough to require medical attention. The individual was taken to the hospital and was reportedly in stable condition, as reported by KTVU.
Furthermore, the incident has left a resident without a home, prompting the involvement of the Red Cross to assist with the immediate dislocation, as per SF Fire Department Media.
