Gonzalo Aragon, a 35-year-old day care director from Palm Coast, has been arrested on charges of molesting a victim under the age of 12 following a months-long investigation. Authorities confirmed that Aragon was taken into custody, and the investigation remains ongoing, as reported by News4JAX.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office reported that Gonzalo Aragon, director of the Future Little Learners Center in Crescent City and son of the center's owner, was arrested last Friday following a months-long investigation. The case began when the victim reported the abuse to a parent, who alerted authorities. As the investigation progressed, other children reportedly stated they had seen the victim sitting on Aragon's lap in the playground area, where "he inappropriately touched the victim," as described by Action News Jax. Aragon was taken into custody by Flagler County Sheriff's Office deputies and transferred to the Putnam County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
The Putnam County Sheriff's Office investigation is ongoing after further evidence supported the victim's testimony. According to a Putnam County Sheriff's Office social media post obtained by First Coast News, "The statements corroborated the victim's statements to detectives and the Child Protection Team interviewer."
