A Paulding County couple is facing serious charges related to alleged child abuse. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, Andrea and Wesley Thomas were arrested after detectives responded to a potential child abuse case at a local public school. The investigation, which began on Friday last week, involved reviewing statements and physical evidence. Detectives also interviewed the suspected victims at the Paulding County Child Advocacy Center.
After the interviews, authorities determined there was enough evidence to arrest the couple. While the specific details of the alleged abuse have not been released, the case is still active, with prosecution efforts ongoing. "If you or someone you know may be a victim of child neglect or abuse, please contact the Sheriff’s Office. This will not be tolerated in our community," Sheriff Ashley Henson said in a statement obtained by FOX 5 Atlanta.
