
In February, Maricopa County health inspectors cited several Phoenix restaurants for health violations. Hello Vietnam Pho & Roll was cited for black beetles, raw meat stored over vegetables, and a lack of sanitizer in its dishwashing machine. Blue Hound Kitchen & Cocktails was cited for food stored at unsafe temperatures in a cooler near a fire oven. According to Phoenix New Times "The inspector found cooked shrimp and scallops, roasted tomatoes, green salsa, guacamole, burrata and mozzarella all at unsafe temperatures."
In March, a Chester County inspection report from Lancaster Online revealed violations at Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant. Inspectors found evidence of rodent activity throughout the facility, prompting a call for improved cleanliness and sanitary conditions.
An audit at Aramark @ Stetson Middle School reported staff eating in the prep area, stating, "Food Employees observed eating or tasting food in the prep area," as per Lancaster Online. Inspectors also noted several severely dented cans, citing food safety concerns.
