On Sunday, the Broadmoor community was disrupted by screeching tires as a blue vehicle took to spinning donuts across the intersections of 87th Street and Stoneyford Drive. The authorities, alerted by residents' calls, arrived on the scene to find the offending vehicle parked blocks away, conspicuously empty yet unmistakable in its identity, thanks to the incriminating home surveillance provided by vigilant neighbors, a recent social media post from the Broadmoor Police Department reported.
The investigation led to the identification of a 24-year-old man from Pittsburg, who later confessed to his thrill-seeking tour of Broadmoor's streets during his cousin's house visit, as indicated by the department's statement.
Confronted with the evidence and his actions, the suspect, whose name has not been disclosed, owned up to his late-night escapades. He admitted to driving recklessly in not one but two intersections within the quiet enclave of Broadmoor. His automotive antics earned him an arrest and a citation for misdemeanor reckless driving charges.
