On Wednesday night, multiple agencies worked together to control an RV fire in Roane County that destroyed four RVs and damaged two others. The fire was worsened by high winds and propane tanks, increasing the risk to the area, as per the Roane County (TN) Office of Emergency Services & Homeland Security Facebook post.
The Roane County OES Fire/Hazmat, Blair VFD, EMS, and other teams contained the situation without further damage. These efforts included managing traffic, evacuating residents, and suppressing the fire.
After the fire was contained, OES Hazmat personnel monitored the area for several hours to ensure there were no further hazards from the propane tanks. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
