The Roseville Police Department is offering a Junior Police Academy for kids to learn about police work. The program will run from June 23-27, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It’s a hands-on experience where kids can see what police officers do and also build teamwork and relationships, according to the Roseville Police Department Facebook post.
Entry into the program requires an application, found on the Roseville Police Department's website, which must be accompanied by a short essay and a letter of recommendation, stressing the importance of reflection on one's interest in law enforcement and support from a credible advocate.
There are only 20 spots available for the Junior Police Academy, so competition will be tough. For registration details, check the Roseville Police Department’s social media pages on Facebook, Instagram, and Nextdoor.
