The first reports of the fire came in around 7:45 p.m. on Saturday, with WVLT sharing that several vehicles were found ablaze by the responding crews. These vehicles, in various stages of repair, were engulfed by flames that the firefighters worked swiftly to control.
The fire, which caused disruptions to both the operations of the repair shop and traffic on Clinton Highway, was successfully doused without any resulting physical harm to people. "When crews arrived, they found multiple vehicles on fire in various stages of repair,” officials told WVLT. The precise cause of the fire remains under investigation by officials.

Completion of the firefighting efforts saw the clearance of the scene with no injuries reported. Reflecting on the event, the Rural Metro Fire Department maintained that, while the flames were extinguished, they were still delving into the origins of this occurrence. As reported by WBIR, “The department also said the fire was extinguished without any injuries and that the cause remains under investigation.” Motorists who were affected by the incident have since seen traffic return to its usual pace along the impacted stretch of Clinton Highway.
