Residents of Saint Paul, Minnesota, had an opportunity to dive into green-collar career opportunities and sustainable practices on March 19 at the West Minnehaha Recreation Center, currently the nexus for environmental initiatives in Ramsey County. The second annual Green Ramsey Expo & Career Fair, hosted by Ramsey County's Environmental Health and Workforce Solutions, drew a crowd eager to engage with 21 exhibitors specializing in recycling, green space creation, and environmental cleanup.
The event was not just a space for exhibition but a conduit for hands-on interaction and learning, with 125 attendees who could attend breakout sessions to learn about environmental protection initiatives and pathways into burgeoning green industries. The county's agenda to propel its Climate Action work into the public sphere was evident, as local initiatives and resources aimed at forging a sustainable future were showcased extensively.
According to a statement obtained by Ramsey County's press release, the event underscores "the county's dedication to fostering a sustainable future by connecting residents with green career opportunities and resources."
