Last Saturday, a substantial haul of narcotics and an unserialized weapon was confiscated from a Vista home. The discovery within the home, located on the 100 block of Camino Corto, included a mix of opioids, stimulants, and a so-called "ghost gun" following a scheduled search warrant execution by deputies of the Vista Sheriff's Station, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department reports.

The search, which took place at approximately noon, yielded about 2.4 pounds of counterfeit Oxycodone pills containing the potent synthetic opioid fentanyl, along with 7 ounces of heroin and 5 ounces of methamphetamine. The residents of Vista are no strangers to the scourge of fentanyl, an opioid known for its deadly overdose risk, even in minuscule amounts. Also uncovered during the raid was an unserialized handgun, often referred to as a "ghost gun".

As of the latest update from the Sheriff's Department, no arrests have been connected to last Saturday's seizure. The San Diego County Sheriff's Department's official statement informs us that the investigation remains active.
