
St. Louis police are on the lookout for an individual connected to a vandalism incident in the Downtown West area. On the night of February 28, a suspect reportedly threw a rock through the window of the Probation & Parole Building located at 220 S. Jefferson Avenue, resulting in over $1,000 in damage. Authorities released a photo of the suspect in hopes that the public might aid in their identification and whereabouts.
After the act of property damage, the suspect was seen fleeing eastbound on Market Street from Jefferson Avenue. Detectives from the Fourth District are spearheading the investigation, which is still in progress. The police have not disclosed any potential motives or any further specifics regarding the incident. However, they are seeking assistance from anyone who might be able to provide information.
Citizens with information that could lead to an arrest may be eligible for a financial incentive. CrimeStoppers, an independent entity offering cash rewards for tips, has been tapped to handle anonymous submissions. "Anyone with a tip about this incident who wants to remain anonymous and is interested in a possible cash reward for their tip should contact CrimeStoppers," a statement from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department indicates.
