Last Saturday, the San Jose Police Department (SJPD) took a hard stance against the city's illegal sideshow menace. Officers responded to multiple reports of sideshow activities, which involved drivers performing dangerous car stunts on public roads. The operation led to the impoundment of 17 vehicles and a single arrest, signaling the department's zero-tolerance policy against such activities.
According to a social media post by the San Jose Police Department, the crackdown spanned several locations within the city. The situation escalated at one east San José spot, where officers discovered an abandoned vehicle fully engulfed in flames. The San Jose Fire Department swiftly dealt with the blaze, preventing what could have escalated into a more severe public safety issue. The department warns that their Racer Enforcement Detail is actively working to identify other individuals involved in the sideshows.
