Yesterday evening, a routine traffic stop in Santa Rosa took a significant turn when an officer recovered a loaded firearm from a known individual with an outstanding warrant. The Santa Rosa Police shared details of the event on their social media platforms, detailing how an officer recognized and detained 21-year-old Guillermo Topete Olmos while patrolling in the vicinity of Sebastopol Rd. and Dutton Ave. During the stop, which occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m., Olmos was found to be carrying a loaded, non-serialized, privately manufactured handgun in his vehicle.
According to the Santa Rosa Police post, Olmos admitted to the possession of the firearm upon his arrest.
