The Marietta History Center launched a new exhibit, "Seven Degrees of Connection: Marietta Stories and Artifacts from the Vault," on last Saturday. The exhibit highlights artifacts from the Center's collection that have never been displayed before, as per the City of Marietta release.
Inspired by the concept of "Six Degrees of Separation," the exhibit explores how Marietta residents are linked through shared experiences and historical events. Featured items include relics from the Cobb County Prison Farm and personal items from figures like General Lucius Clay and librarian Florence Sibley, as per the same release. The exhibit also includes material from the Old Marietta Courthouse and a tribute to coach James "Friday" Richards.
"Seven Degrees of Connection" will be open until May 10th at the Marietta History Center, located at 1 Depot Street. Admission is $10.00 for adults and $7.00 for students and seniors. Members, children under five, and active military and veterans can visit for free. Group tours for ten or more people are available at $10.00 per person, as per the City of Marietta.
