Heads up, Sevierville drivers: Starting Thursday, expect some changes on the northbound lanes of Parkway during your commute. According to a social media post from the Sevierville Police Department, construction crews will be bringing down the hammer and taking down a building near Bruce Street, which means lane closures are imminent.
Specifically, the right northbound travel lane between Prince Street and Bruce Street will see closures daily from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This disruption is scheduled to commence tomorrow and, conditions permitting, wrap up swiftly by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 21. "Weather and other conditions permitting, the work is scheduled to be completed by 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2025," the Sevierville Police Department notice states.
For those who dread traffic delays, take note: The department warns of potential short-term slowdowns in the area. Commuters might want to add a few extra minutes to their travel time or seek an alternate route if they're keen to avoid the construction zone altogether.
Motorists should stay alert for the presence of workers and equipment, and be prepared for traffic patterns that could change at a time. "Motorists should watch for workers, equipment and changing traffic patterns," the Sevierville Police Department highlights.
