In the heart of Shelby County, a beacon of hope illuminates the path for those burdened by their past. The Shelby County Criminal Court Clerk's Office will offer a fresh start to eligible individuals during the Day of Hope & Healing. As part of the Governor's Initiative, this event aims to support community members in need of expungements—clearing a path to new opportunities and personal growth.
Scheduled for Saturday, March 8, from 10 AM to 1 PM, the Day of Hope & Healing is set to unfold at Riverside Missionary Baptist Church, located at 3560 S. Third St. Along with expungement services, the gathering promises to be an occasion filled with nourishment of both body and spirit—as complimentary food, enjoyable activities, and assistance from various agencies will be readily available to those attending.
"Expungements at the Day of Hope & Healing!" announced the Shelby County Criminal Court Clerk's Office via a recent social media post. This call to the community goes out to all who might benefit from these services: "Need an expungement? Come see us!" "Have questions? We’re here to help!" the post urges.
