
Pastor Ricky Floyd was shot and killed early Wednesday morning outside Momma’s Bar in South Memphis. The incident happened around 1:20 a.m. at 855 Kentucky Street. Floyd was the Senior Lead Pastor at Pursuit of God Transformation Center and founded Salvation Revelation Ministries, a nonprofit focused on community and spiritual development, acording to Action News 5.
Floyd and Samantha Marion, 42, were reportedly involved in an argument that escalated outside an establishment, as reported by Local Memphis. Police said the two had a verbal dispute before the incident. Surveillance footage shows Floyd appearing to throw Marion’s phone and a beer can to the ground before attempting to leave in his vehicle. He later returned and confronted Marion.
Memphis Police arrested Marion on a voluntary manslaughter charge after a pastor was found dead at the scene, as stated by FOX13 Memphis. The pastor was known for his work with The Husband Institute, a boys' mentoring group. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the shooting.
