The puzzling disappearance of Jason McKay continues to unsettle the local community, as the investigation for finding the 28-year-old Pacific Islander male seems to have hit a stagnant point. According to St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, McKay was last seen over a week ago at his home in the 900 block of Olive Street, and his silence since then has been deafening in its absence.
His friends and family are seeking answers, casting a light on the broader issue of missing persons in our vicinity. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department (SLMPD) discovered McKay's car, a 2014 dark grey Chevy Impala, abandoned on the Stan Musial Veterans Memorial Bridge. The car was reportedly last spotted at 9:45 p.m. on February 24, traveling through Pontoon Beach, Illinois, but the trail runs cold thereafter. Jason is described as around 5'11", 165 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, and he may also be wearing glasses, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department adds.
As of now, details about the circumstances leading up to his disappearance are limited, and police are urgently calling on the community for any piece of information. "Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Jason is asked to call 911 or the Missing Persons Unit at 314-444-5738," pleads the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department in their report.
Community members can also help by sharing McKay's story and keeping an eye out for anyone matching his description or any information that might emerge.
