
The National Weather Service in St. Louis, MO, has released a detailed forecast for the upcoming week, showing a mix of cloudy skies and rain, with occasional clearings. Today's weather remains largely overcast with temperatures hovering around 41°F but will see gradual clearing, eventually becoming mostly sunny with a high near 55°F. The northwest wind will blow at 10 to 13 mph, gusting as high as 20 mph, according to the NWS forecast.
Tonight's forecast predicts mostly clear skies with a low around 37°F. The NWS says the north wind will reduce to 5 to 7 mph and become light and variable by evening. Come Tuesday, St. Louis can expect mostly sunny conditions with a high near 64°F, and a southeast wind picking up to 14 mph, and gusts possibly reaching 29 mph.
However, Tuesday night introduces a slight chance of rain before 10 pm, with showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 10 pm and 1 am. "Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1am," says the NWS. The increasing clouds will accompany a low around 55°F, while the southeast wind is expected to blow at 15 to 18 mph and could gust as high as 31 mph. There is a 60 percent chance of precipitation.
For Wednesday, the forecast is firm with showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 10 am, followed by more showers and thunderstorms after 10 am. The high is predicted to be near 76°F, while the south wind's strength is forecasted to range between 15 to 17 mph, gusting up to 32 mph. The NWS indicates that the chance of precipitation will be an unequivocal 100 percent. "A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10pm" is expected for Wednesday night, with mostly cloudy skies and a low around 52°F, setting the chance of precipitation at 40 percent.
The wet weather pattern seems to persist through the end of the week. Thursday will likely bring rain with a 70 percent chance of precipitation and a high near 62°F. This is followed by a 50 percent chance of nightly showers and thunderstorms, carrying into a rainy Friday with a high near 63°F and an 80 percent likelihood of precipitation. The weekend outlook isn't much drier, with Saturday seeing a 70 percent chance of rain and highs around 56°F, while Sunday brings a slight reprieve, with partly sunny skies and a 20 percent chance of rain, according to the NWS.
