A pizza delivery driver was subjected to a carjacking in the Carr Square neighborhood, as reported by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. On Thursday evening, officers responded to a call from the 1100 block of Long St, where the 36-year-old victim recounted a group of teens had forcibly taken his vehicle.
The robbery unfolded while the victim was completing a delivery. Five male teenagers, arriving in a white Hyundai Elantra, confronted him. According to the report provided by the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, "The teens then exited the Elantra, armed with guns and robbed the victim of his Hyundai Santa Fe and took off." The victim, thankfully, did not sustain any injuries during this traumatic encounter.
Subsequently, detectives traced the Elantra to the 1100 block of Jefferson Ave where it was recovered along with the detention of a 15-year-old suspect. However, the victim's Hyundai Santa Fe remains missing. Local detectives from District 4 are actively investigating the incident and have urged anyone with potentially valuable information to come forward.
