The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man accused of stealing candy from a local Cumberland Farms. CBS12 reports that surveillance footage captured the suspect committing the theft on January 1 at the store located at 1020 Shorewinds Drive. He took a Snickers bar and a Reese’s Nutrageous bar, worth a combined $8.65.
The Sheriff's Office has issued a Be On the Lookout notice and is asking the public for help in locating the suspect. He is described as a Black man with short hair, last seen wearing a black shirt, black shorts, and a backpack, as mentioned by WPBF. To aid in the investigation, the Sheriff’s Office provided contact details for Detective Shane Bogner and Treasure Coast Crime Stoppers.
