A man and woman surrendered to Surprise police after being linked to a dog abandonment case. Logan Gambill, 20, and Priscilla Galanos, 26, turned themselves in after community tips identified them from home security footage of the incident, according to FOX 10 Phoenix.

A dog was abandoned near a walking trail in Surprise last Saturday, with video footage showing the animal being pushed from a vehicle and running after it. Joanna Buesen took the dog in and provided care. Surprise Police charged Gambill with misdemeanor animal cruelty and Galanos, the dog's owner, with conspiracy to commit animal cruelty, using security footage from a nearby homeowner as evidence, as reported by AZFamily.

"I was angered. I was flabbergasted, shocked. Just so many emotions," Buesen said about the incident, as stated by AZFamily. The Surprise Police Department advised residents who need help caring for pets to seek support from community groups or local shelters instead of abandoning animals. The dog will be transferred to the Arizona Humane Society for adoption. The department also shared a video showing the dog in better condition.
