The Alameda County Sheriff's Office has reported an arrest concerning a burglary at Crush Comics, a Castro Valley bookstore. Last Thursday, Noorullah Amiri, 29, was apprehended after the Sheriff's Property Crime Unit identified him as a suspect through video surveillance and further investigation. The crime, which involved the theft of LEGO sets, comic books, and action figures, occurred on March 22.
Following the apprehension, authorities executed a search warrant at Amiri's residence in Livermore, where they discovered an array of items believed to have been stolen. Notably, the haul included nearly 200 boxes of LEGO sets linked to another burglary reported last Wednesday. In that burglary, a victim from a different Bay Area city reported the loss of $10,000 worth of LEGO merchandise. This victim was later able to reclaim most of the pilfered goods found in the suspect's possession, as per the Alameda County Sheriff's Office.
Amiri's arrest resulted from a joint effort by local law enforcement divisions, including the Eden Township Substation's Property Crime Unit, the Gang Suppression Unit, and the Street Crimes Unit. The Sheriff's Office highlighted the successful collaboration and dedication in addressing such property crimes.
