A suspected dealer has been taken into custody in Manatee County, marking the largest fentanyl haul in the county's history, according to local authorities. On March 13, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office conducted a raid that yielded 12.3 kilograms of fentanyl, alongside other drugs and weapons. The operation was detailed in the FOX 35 Orlando report. The suspect, 40-year-old Tron Williams, is facing multiple trafficking charges and, according to the reports, was the only person present in the home at the time of the arrest.

The bust traced back to an investigation that started in November 2024 when undercover detectives targeted a potential fentanyl sales point at a residence in Bradenton. Their investigation led them to Maurice Baxter, a 23-year-old suspected dealer who remains at large, as well as the arrest of Williams. The substances found include 1 kilogram of cocaine, 1 kilogram of ecstasy, 273 grams of methamphetamine, 822 grams of marijuana, and 29.4 grams of Adderall, with the fentanyl alone estimated at a $1.4 million street value, Bay News 9 reported.

Apart from drugs, law enforcement officers discovered an array of firearms, including a FN Five-seven handgun, known for its armor-penetrating capabilities. Over 1,000 rounds of ammunition were also seized. Sheriff Wells expressed grave concern about the power of the drugs found, claiming the fentanyl alone "could have killed the population of the entire Tampa Bay area," as reported by FOX 35 Orlando.

Williams faces multiple trafficking charges and is currently being held in the Manatee County Jail without bond. Authorities are actively seeking information on the whereabouts of Baxter, urging anyone with knowledge to come forward. Tips can be provided to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office or anonymously through Manatee County Crime Stoppers for a possible cash reward.
