Local authorities responded to a water mishap yesteday when a vehicle with a trailer accidentally drove into the waters near Vonore Beach. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Dive Team, Vonore Police Department, and Vonore Fire Department were called to the scene at the boat ramp.
According to a Facebook post by Sheriff Tommy Jones, the recovery was managed by the dive team. Their quick response led to the vehicle and trailer being safely pulled from the water without further complications.
Fortunately, no one was injured or trapped as the vehicle entered the water.
