Germantown residents on certain streets should expect temporary water service interruptions as crews begin replacing water meters. The work will take place during this week, on weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., according to the City of Germantown, Tennessee Government's Facebook post. Affected streets include Huntcliff Cove, Mont Blanc Drive, and others.
Technicians will knock on doors before beginning work to ensure there is no active water usage. If no one answers and there is no sign of water usage, they will proceed with the replacement. Once the work is finished, a door hanger will be left with instructions, such as running an outdoor spigot or a bathtub faucet to clear any line sediment.
Each water meter replacement is expected to take around 20 minutes, and residents may experience temporary water service disruptions during this time. Weather conditions or other issues may cause delays.
More details about the project, including benefits and schedule, are available on the city's official website.
