Those looking to dig into spring gardening this year will have the chance to get their hands dirty at the Spring Gardening Workshop on March 15, hosted by the Thomas Branigan Memorial Library. According to the City of Las Cruces, the event will be held from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the library located at 200 E. Picacho Ave.
Workshop attendees will get to learn to quickly jumpstart their spring gardens by making their very own newspaper pots and seed balls. These hands-on activities aim to spread native flowers and facilitate seed saving. The Seed Library will be introduced during the workshop, alongside a comprehensive range of gardening books provided by the library to help enthusiasts grow their knowledge as well as their plants.
Designed to cater to participants of all ages, the workshop features craft activities, informative presentations, and booths set up by community gardening affiliates. It's an opportunity to mingle with other gardeners, exchange tips, and gain new perspectives on cultivating a fruitful garden.
