Yesterday morning, the Gresham Police Department responded to a reported carjacking in the Rockwood neighborhood, where an armed confrontation precipitated the theft of a vehicle. The pursuit of suspects extended from Gresham into Portland, ending in the arrest of three individuals, as reported by KOIN.
The episode began around 12:45 a.m. near Southeast 185th and Southeast Stark Street, as law enforcement agencies including the Gresham Police Department, Multnomah County Sheriff's Office (MCSO), and Portland Police Bureau (PPB) coordinated to corner the suspects swiftly evidence related to the robbery was retrieved during the subsequent criminal investigations which resulted in the detention of the suspects, as detailed by KATU.
Donald Kargbo, age 21, stands accused of several serious charges, among them first-degree robbery and unauthorized use of a vehicle, while two juveniles connected to the incident are being referred to the juvenile unit of the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office for further deliberation on potential charges, this according to information obtained by KPTV.
While three individuals are now in custody, authorities are actively searching for the remaining fourth suspect the community is urged to provide any information that might assist the ongoing investigation.
