Three individuals were left injured after their vehicle rolled over on Veterans Parkway, creating an emergency situation that drew a swift response from local firefighters yesterday evening. WSMV reports that the Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department (MFRD) arrived on scene to find the vehicle overturned, with all three persons trapped inside.
The MFRD crews, including teams from Ladder 11, Rescue 11, Engine 5, Safety 1, Safety 2, and Battalion Chief 1 reached the crash site and carried out the extrication procedure. Despite the seriousness of the accident, preliminary insights suggest that the injuries sustained were minor.
Following the accident, WGNS Radio detailed that two lanes were blocked to provide the emergency responders with the space needed to work safely and efficiently. The obstructions necessarily led to traffic delays as the investigation into the crash and the roadway clearing operations proceeded.
The specific cause of the rollover remains under investigation, according to the MFRD. A social media post from the department gave no indication of what might have led to the vehicle losing control.
