
In a development that underlines the essential role of public collaboration in crime solving, a critical tip funneled through Crime Stoppers has led to the arrest of a man involved in a shooting incident, now identified as Wykevion Fortney. On the 8th of February, Fortney became engaged in a fiery exchange of words that escalated to violence in a parking lot bustling with people on Nolensville Pike, according to a Nashville government announcement.
The confrontation began when the victim, a father with his twin infants in arms, narrowly avoided being hit by a white Ford Flex, driven by Fortney. The man drew a weapon and shot the father in the hip. He stands accused of several serious charges, including attempted criminal homicide, according to Nashville officials.
Presently, Fortney remains confined behind bars, with a bond set at $132,500 for the offenses he's charged with, which range from aggravated assault to reckless endangerment, alongside illegal gun possession in the course of a felony. This shooting occurred at 5743 Nolensville Pike.
