The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is kicking off bridge rehabilitation and pavement operations on I-435, stretching from Parvin Road to 48th Street. Due to this, travelers can expect various lane closures starting next Monday, and these disruptions will occasionally make for a tedious drive until December.
According to MoDOT's announcement, the initial phase will see the right lane of northbound and southbound I-435 from Parvin Rd. to 48th St. closed for shoulder paving. This short term inconvenience is slated to last from 7:00 am on March 10 until 7:00 pm next Tuesday. Commuters should prepare to adjust their routes and perhaps leave earlier to comfortably reach their destinations on time during these dates.
The next phase of the construction will hit the left lane of both directions on this stretch of I-435. Starting next Wednesday at 7:00 am, this side of the road will be closed continuously until December 1 for both shoulder paving and the more intensive bridge rehabilitation.
