Two individuals have suffered injuries due to a serious barn fire that took place in Frederick County, with one man found unconscious and another treated for smoke inhalation, as crews rushed to the 9000 block of Reichs Ford Road yesterday morning, as reported by WBALTV.
The fire, which required about 45 firefighters to control, was managed within 15 minutes. The fire was contained, and despite the barn itself being engulfed in flames, thankfully, no other structures reported damages were incurred, according to statements by officials to WMAR2 News.
Upon entering the fiery structure, responders discovered and extricated an unconscious man who was promptly delivered to Frederick Health Hospital facing critical, life-threatening injuries, which was further detailed by the DC News Now.
While one victim's encounter with the life-threatening flame resulted in hospitalization for serious injuries, another individual was taken to the hospital for the treatment of smoke inhalation. The aftermath of this event is being carefully scrutinized by the Frederick County Fire Marshal’s Office. They are digging into the fire's origin, which remains undetermined.
