
Residents of a North St. Louis neighborhood were alarmed yesterday evening when gunfire erupted during what is being described as a 'slide show'. According to St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, calls reporting shots fired and ShotSpotter activations began just before 9 p.m. at the intersection of Warne and W. Florissant.
The chaos at the scene was followed by a woman seeking assistance after being wounded. An a 21-year-old female, suffering from a gunshot wound to her hand, approached officers at Natural Bridge and Grand. Simultaneously, a 32-year-old male victim self-transported to the hospital, having sustained a gunshot wound to his right ankle. Both individuals confirmed their injuries happened during the slideshow event. Fortunately, both victims are stable and no longer in immediate danger as they recover from the incident.
Law enforcement is actively investigating the incident and is reaching out to the public for assistance.
