Two men find themselves on the wrong side of the law following an alleged attempt to pilfer from a local PG&E facility. On Sunday, American Canyon Police apprehended Franklin Morales, 38, and Jose Carrero Rosas, 30, concerning the trespassing and theft. According to a social media post by the American Canyon Police Department, surveillance footage prompted the response to the PG&E site after showing suspect activity that included a masked figure clutching what seemed to be a carjack.

Law enforcement pursued a lead involving a silver and black Ford Fusion seen near the property at the PG&E facility. The subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a stolen dirt compacter owned by PG&E and burglary tools encompassing copper and bolt cutters. Alongside these items, police discovered two BB handguns, gloves, and walkie-talkies. Both Morales, who hails from San Pablo, and Carrero Rosas, from Concord, wore clothes that matched the descriptions from security personnel, implicating them in the crime.

Detained and charged, the duo now faces allegations of possessing burglary tools, grand theft, and conspiracy to commit a crime. The were booked at the Napa County Jail.
