The University of Tennessee Police Department has teamed up with the Metro Drug Coalition for the sixth annual Day of Hope, a statewide event aimed at raising awareness of substance use disorder and mental illness. "Today is being celebrated as Tennessee’s Day of Hope. For so many people, the hope of a better tomorrow is a source of strength and motivation to continue the work to overcome the hurdles in their lives or support the needs of a loved one, friend, or neighbor," said the University of Tennessee Police Department Facebook page.
The partnership between the University of Tennessee Police Department and the Metro Drug Coalition highlights their dedication to tackling these important societal issues. The UTPD emphasized their goal to foster a collective sense of hope in response to the state’s ongoing challenges with substance use disorder and mental illness, promoting the hashtag #breathishope.
