Contra Costa County Public Works Department has announced plans for rock removal and installing temporary erosion control measures. This essential maintenance will affect the stretch at mile marker 1.7, roughly half a mile northwest of Canyon Road.

The work is scheduled to kick off next Monday and is expected to run through March 31, weather permitting. Operations will roll out from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Those hitting the road during these times should be ready for some delays. During the project, the eastbound lane of Pinehurst Road will be partially closed, with traffic controls in place to manage the flow and ensure the safety of drivers and cyclists weaving through the area.
