If you're in the market to gear up for your next outdoor adventure without breaking the bank, Utah State University has got you covered. The USU Outdoor Programs' used equipment and gear sale is making its return on Saturday, March 29, and it promises to be a haven for bargain hunters. Taking place in the Old OP Shop, you'll find it behind Maverik Stadium at the former distribution center. The sale will kick off at 9 a.m. and wrap up the deals by 5 p.m.
Whether you're looking to hit the rapids with a sturdy new kayak or conquer the snowy slopes, this sale is set to feature a varied collection of outdoor gear. As per USU Today, you can expect to find not just the smaller items but also "a lot of bigger gear like inflatable kayaks, rafts and stand-up paddleboards." Early birds who happen to also be USU students can enjoy an exclusive shopping hour from 9-10 a.m., provided they bring their USU ID to gain first dibs on the offerings. Afterwards, the sale will open up to the wider community, letting everyone get a shot at upgrading their adventure toolkit.
"We’re excited to offer up a variety of gear again for students and the public," said Dan Galliher, the associate director of Outdoor Programs and Facilities, as obtained by USU Today. This statement underscores the event's inclusive nature, inviting both the campus and the local populace to come together and score deals on a plethora of outdoor equipment. Items on sale range from climbing gear perfect for the warmer seasons to necessary equipment like skis and boots for those who chase winter sports thrills.
