The University of Texas at El Paso Alumni Association has once again spotlighted the academic excellence within its student body, announcing the winners of the 2025 Top Ten Seniors award. A nod to scholastic dedication and Miner pride, the award, now in its 75th iteration, celebrates the current year's select few who not only excelled academically but also stood as paragons of the university's spirit.
Selected for their standout contributions and relentless pursuit of excellence both in and out of the classroom, the recipients this year a multitude of disciplines. According to UTEP, the winners include Kennedy Trevino, Frida Garcia-Ledezma, Brian Rodiles Delgado, Zachary Althoff, Benjamin Shipkey, Maximilian Rothblatt, Amira Williams, Michael Gutierrez, Abeni Merriweather, and Zoe Andritsos. Their achievements are not confined to the walls of academia alone; they reach into the community, promising a future of impact and engagement.
UTEP acting vice president of institutional advancement, Gary Edens, Ed.D., took pride in the longstanding tradition, emphasizing the awardees' embodiment of Miner values. "As we mark 75 years of the Top Ten Seniors program, we're proud to celebrate this year’s amazing awardees who embody what it means to be a Miner," expressed Edens, as obtained by UTEP. Compelled by a history of excellence, the university, through Edens, alongside the alumni association and a discerning selection committee, stands steadfast in recognizing the substantial footprints these students will leave in an ever-broadening sphere of influence.
