A 22-year-old man from Washington County, Jordan Beyer, has been arrested and is facing numerous charges related to the sexual assault of multiple women. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office reported that its Violent Crimes Unit detectives launched an investigation into a sexual assault case that began in February.
Over several weeks, detectives interviewed numerous women who reported being raped or sexually assaulted by Beyer in various locations across Washington County, including Banks, Forest Grove, and Beaverton. According to the Sheriff’s Office release, Beyer, who resided in a rural area near Banks, often resorted to physical force or threats during these assaults, which were perpetrated against individuals he knew.
An indictment against Beyer was handed down by a Washington County grand jury last Friday, which included two counts of rape in the first degree, four counts of unlawful sexual penetration in the first degree, and other related charges, tallying up to 21 counts. Following these severe allegations, detectives apprehended Beyer on Tuesday during a traffic stop on Highway 26 just east of Highway 6.
Currently lodged in the Washington County Jail without bail, Beyer is being held under the state's request for preventative detention. The investigation is ongoing and further charges may be forthcoming. The Sheriff's Office urges anyone with relevant information or individuals who believe they may be a victim to contact 503-846-2500 and reference case number 50-25-1043.
