A devastating single-vehicle rollover accident claimed the life of a woman in north Phoenix early Sunday morning. The southbound lanes of SR 51, a major artery in the area, were closed after the incident, which occurred between Northern Avenue and Shea Boulevard. According to reports by ABC15, the accident was first reported to the Arizona Department of Public Safety just before 12:30 a.m.
The Department of Public Safety troopers swiftly responded to the crash site, discovering a woman who had been ejected from the vehicle. It was believed that the victim had not securely fastened her seatbelt before the crash. Despite efforts to piece together the events that led to this tragic outcome, the woman's identity has yet to be released.
