An incident unfolded yesterday morning as a woman lost her life in a car accident on Nashville's Glastonbury Road. According to a report by the Metro Nashville Police Department, the solo vehicle crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. when the driver's Nissan Murano was moving at a high rate of speed. The vehicle veered off the road near the intersection with Southwood Park Place, subsequently colliding with a brick wall and culvert.

Attempts were made to ultimately save her life as she was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, yet despite these efforts, she succumbed to her injuries. The identity of the woman has not been released pending notification of next of kin and further investigation by the Medical Examiner's Office, who will also conduct toxicology tests to determine if impairment played a role in this fatal incident.
The full results of the investigation, including the toxicology report, are expected to be made public once they are available. The Metro Police urge anyone who might have information related to the crash to come forward and to possibly assist in their ongoing inquiry.
