
A woman in her early 20s was found deceased outside a Memphis railyard, in a case that local authorities are currently investigating as a homicide. According to Action News 5, the body was discovered at the Union Pacific Railroad on Melrose Street shortly after officers arrived on the scene at 8:00 a.m. this past Thursday, following a call regarding a suspicious vehicle that crashed into the property's fence.
Memphis Police describe the scene as believed to be connected to the grim discovery, a vehicle had smashed into the property's border. The victim's identification has yet to be released, leaving a gap in a story that's already scant on details and beset by unanswered questions. Continuing to probe into the night's events, an exact timeline of when the woman was killed remains uncertain.
