A 19-year-old man, identified as Daymonte Moore, has been arrested on charges related to a shooting incident at a vape shop in Osceola County, according to law enforcement reports. The altercation at Vape Up Café, located at 8301 Championsgate Boulevard, ensued after Moore was asked to produce identification to purchase tobacco products and became visibly upset. In a statement detailed by WFTV, the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office detailed how Moore left the shop on March 16 and confronted the employees outside, where he fired multiple shots.
The incident did not result in any injuries, although the gunfire damaged one nearby car. Moore reportedly attempted to quickly flee the scene in a black Kia after the shooting. It wasn't until nearly three weeks later, last Tuesday, that authorities managed to locate Moore in Lake County. FOX 35 Orlando reported that the Osceola County Violent Crimes Unit worked with the Lake County Sheriff's Office to apprehend the suspect. Despite an attempt to flee again, Moore was captured without further incident and is now facing multiple felony charges.
According to WESH, Moore is being charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of unlawful discharge of a firearm. He is currently being held in the Osceola County Jail on no bond.
