
Two suspects are on the run after a bold midday robbery at PNC Bank on East Wilbeth Road in Akron, with police turning to the community for assistance in tracking down the individuals involved. In a social media post shared by the Akron Police Department, authorities report that yesterday, around 1:50 pm, these men entered the bank—one armed and threatening the security guard, the other standing watch. The armed suspect hopped the counter, weapon aimed at a teller, and demanded cash. After which, both suspects fled. The amount they stole remains undisclosed, and an investigation by Akron Police is ongoing.
The suspects' descriptions have been circulated, the first is a black man, armed and dangerous, seen in a black hat, brown wig, glasses designed for sports, a light blue long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and white sneakers, and his accomplice, also a black male, wore a tan hat, a white and tan striped shirt, baggy pants, adorned with gold chains, a watch, and a white bracelet. The Akron Police Department urges the public to provide any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects, as they are considered armed and dangerous. They request that anyone with tips reach out to them directly, but refrain from posting personal details on social media platforms.
