During the 10:48 pm incident, a male victim was found suffering from gunshot wounds, authorities were able to respond promptly, thanks in part to an officer already working an extra job in the vicinity who detained the suspect soon after.
The unnamed victim was rapidly attended by EMS and transported to a local hospital for urgent medical care. The Atlanta Police report details that both the suspect and victim were known to each other and had been embroiled in a heated dispute, which ultimately spiraled into the shooting; this provides a glimpse into a possible motive behind the violence but what remains unfolding is how deep the ties between the two men run.
